As a self-taught artist from Iran, Farhad “Amir” Nabipour began drawing and painting at an early age. Encouraged by his family to pursue his talent, he gained profession in drawing and oil painting >>>
In 1990, he left Iran to find freedom of expression and began his professional career as an artist in New Zealand.
In 1995, by his long desire to see the United States, he traveled to this country and began painting American landscapes.
As an international artist, he paints from the heart to connect people with nature's beauty. His strongest paintings are those created from personal photographs of wild flower fields as well as his surrealistic landscapes.
Amir cites Cezanne, Monet, and Van Gogh as most influential. “They have a unique style that brings the everyday life of people and their surroundings to the viewer's eyes.”
In 2000, he was commissioned by Trinity Gallery in Atlanta, GA, to paint two American landscapes which are on display in the largest Hilton Hotel in the U.S. He has also been commissioned by families, doctors and businesses.
For the past 25 years, he has been working on a collection of his personal experiences in life which he plans to show in the near future.
“If only we would take the time to look, we would behold the peace, truth and love within each and every one of us as well as amidst the nature that surrounds us. Through my paintings, I want to invite others to see, enjoy and embrace all the beauty that I see”.
His love for painting has made him a full-time artist. He also writes poetry, creates graphic art, web design, photography and video production in his spare time.
Amir is represented by these galleries: Twin House Gallery; Atlanta, Gorgia, and Green Rabbit Gallery in Alpharetta. Also, you can visit his showroom at Horizon Home (Design Center); Atlanta >>>
