Here are some pictures from the first day of the hunger strike and manifestation in front of BBC Radio's main building (“Bush House”) in London on Fdriday July 14. At 6:30pm Akbar Ganji gave a speech at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London at an event organized by SOAS, Forum Iran and Amnesty International. This event was attended by 400 people. During the manifestation on Friday we noticed from the other side of the street with their digital camcorders. One claimed to be “just a tourist” sightseeing and taking pictures of his favorite scenes in London. A friend from BBC World Service positively identified both of them as members of a particular I.R. government agency responsible (among other tasks) for documenting interesting sights and sounds for their employers in Tehran.
