The Norouz Festival NorouzFestival.org was celebrated on March 31st and April 1st in Vasona Lake Park in the city of Los Gatos, northern California. This festival is to celebrate the 13th day of the Persian New Year. But because the exact day of the 13th falls on a weekday, Iranians outside of Iran have come to celebrate it on the weekend closest to that day. The Norouz Festival Committee did another excellent job in organizing this event for a third year in a row at this location. There was plenty of food, music, and socializing. The weather was absolutely perfect which was something to be very thankful for. Also, I wanted to let you all know that there may be a Persian Parade in the works for Norouz of 2008; so keep your eyes and ears open so you can come out and support it here in northern California!
