I recently spent some time visiting my dearest friend in Stockholm, Sweden. Stockholm is somewhere I never thought about going to before.. but Im happy I went and it’s interesting and worth a visit, although in contrast to London I found it a little difficult to get around. If you plan to visit, go in the spring or summer.
Anyway.. the reason I am writing this is because I noticed the number of Iranian supermarkets and easy availability of Iranian food products is greater there than in London! Or so it seems. Am i looking in the wrong places? I thought I was pretty well informed, but maybe Im missing somewhere.
Really, I was like a kid in a toy shop there (a little sad I know) and almost had to be dragged away! You can buy anything and almost everything there and all under one roof! Unlike here where I have to visit a number of stores. Even then, the availability is often spasmodic and usually expensive (never mind that).
I dont understand why it’s like this … as far as Im aware, there are more Iranians in the UK than in Sweden! Ok they might be more spread out here, living all over the UK rather than all concentrated in one area, which really was kind of nice. Actually you almost forgot where you were!
So calling all UK based Iranians … do you know some where I dont? Please tell me. We really need a central website for these things providing information about food stores, restaurants and concerts/entertainment. Perhaps you know of one??
