When I first heard of the Noor Film Festival in Los Angeles last year, I thought, what took so long? You would think that with such a high concentration of movie stars, singers and others in the entertainment business, LA Iranians would have had a glamorous annual festival much sooner. But let’s not get into why it didn’t happen earlier. Let’s thank Siamak Ghahremani for putting together the festival for the past two years under — I’m sure — extremee conditions. It’s no easy task to bring so many artists together under one roof. But from all accounts, Ghahremani did a magnificent job and no doubt laid the foundations for THE most entertaining and star-studded cultural event worthy of Hollywood and its new immigrants.
