maryam’s seventeen year old cousin came to me the other day and told me that he has decided to grow his beard. I felt good that he has come to me for advise in how to grow beard. when i told him about how to grow and trim his new beard he told me that i was wrong. he said that he has already looked it up in the internet and he knows exactly how to grow and trim new beard. he was told to grow his beard for four weeks and he should not touch it or trim it for that period. then after the four weeks is over he can start to trim it and so on. i was thinking that when i was seventeen how did i and all the other seventeen year-olds survive with out the internet. now anything we need we just google it and it is there in front of us. when i was 13 or 14 i had a note book in which i had written all the countries in the world (i think there were only about 110 of them) and their capitals and the name of their money and the name of their kings or presidents. i also had a lot of other information written in that book as a reference. i also had encyclopedias and dictionaries to refer to and i also visited the library to look up things or to borrow books. now all you need is one computer and with out moving from you chair you can not only get all those information, you can get recipes to cook all kinds of foods, how to fix your dish washer, how to tie your tie in three different ways, and how to grow your beard. as americans say , i am in awe.
