Rumi fans came from far and near, from San Francisco, and Los Angeles, to attend a concert with heavy weights of Persian/world music and performing artists at Sherwood Oaks auditorium in San Diego, on August 9th., to celebrate Rumi’s life and poetry. Saxophonist/song writer Farzin Farhadi and his ensemble Rumination, performed songs from his album “The Beloved is Here” with mesmerizing vocals by fusion vocalist, and multi instrumentalist Hamed Nikpay who also debuted songs from his new album “All is Calm”, enrapturing the audiences. World renowned vocalist and recoding artist Sussan Deyhim, gave an intoxicating performance of songs old and new, east and west, and international dancer/choreographer Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam stunned audiences with his ecstatic dance performances.
