Huntington Library’s Botanical Gardens in Pasadena, Southern California, is breathtaking. I tend to throw that word around a lot. But I don’t know what other word I can use to best describe the collection of plants, trees, flowers… at this magical place. The Rose Garden is everyone’s obvious favorite. You don’t know how many times I said “magnificent”, “wow”, “so bloody beautiful”, “amazing”. I couldn’t shut up! The Chinese and Japanese gardens were OK but the Bonsai trees were incredible works of art. But the most spectacular part is the Desert Gardens. So many varieties, in so many colors, in so many weird shapes, as if they are from another planet. I went nuts! I’m eternally grateful of my friend Mojgan for bringing me here.
