I voted for Obama in Arcadia, southern California, and then followed the election count on CNN, culminating in Obama’s victory speech. What a great day for democracy! When I first heard him address the Democratic Party Convention four years ago, I was impressed. But when he announced his candidacy, I was convinced he could not get elected in this country.
