PJAK militants have reportedly admitted defeat and declared that they will abandon all attempts to form an independent Kurdish state.The outlawed group has been staging attacks across the border in Iran since 2004 on behalf of “Iranian Kurdish interests” in an attempt to establish an independent Kurdish state, as reported by an April 3, 2006 Washington Times article.
