Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday submitted to parliament a 282.7 billion dollar budget for the year to March 2010 in the face of low oil prices and high domestic inflation. State television said the overall budget for the Iranian year 1388 was set at 282.7 billion dollars, including 202 billion dollars from state-owned firms, saying it was around 2.6 percent lower than the current year. Former economy minister Davood Danesh Jafari said the year ahead was expected to be “difficult” because of the expected fall in oil income.
