Israel’s ambassador to Australia has suggested that the military campaign in the Gaza Strip was a “pre-introduction” to attacking Iran. Speaking at Sydney’s Jewish community on Friday, Israeli envoy Yuval Rotem said the offensive was “a pre-introduction to the challenge Israel expects from a nuclear-equipped Iran” likely to happen “within a year”. Rotem made the remarks without realizing a Seven News camera was recording him. He then asked the operator to turn off his camera.
