Former Iranian Minister of Labor Dariush Forouhar and his wife, who were stabbed to death in the same year, were also named as the group’s targets in neighboring Iran. Both of the killings, the letter adds were due to the “target’s” alleged connections to the leader of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) Abdullah Ocalan. This is while, in both cases, individuals within both countries have confessed to the killings.
