MON CINEMA: The 300 Spartans aka The Lion of Sparta (1962)

The Original movie of the 300 Spartans at the Battle of Thermopylae that inspired Frank Miller’s graphic novel was directed by Rudolph Maté and Starring Richard Egan as Leonidas and David Farrar as Persian King of Kings Xerxes. (circa 1962)

The Film is much more historically accurate than Miller’s Horror fiction. The Persians are at least described as humans. The DVD is available here on amazon.com
