Jewish Congress to honour Harper
Prime minister, Ignatieff, Layton and May all to speak at event in Toronto tonight

The Canadian Jewish Congress is to give Prime Minister Stephen Harper its Saul Hayes Human Rights Award at an event in Toronto tonight.
The award is given to an individual in Canada or abroad who has rendered distinguished service to the cause of human rights.
The CJC says Mr. Harper is getting the award for several reasons including his vigorous condemnation of anti-Semitism and his steadfast support for Israel.
The Prime Minister, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff, NDP Leader Jack Layton and Green Party Leader Elizabeth May will also speak at the event, along with Israeli Vice Prime Minister Silvan Shalom
