So today i went to the Westin Hotel here in Los Angeles to vote. It was the first time i ever voted for the Presidential Election in Iran and i was really excited. I thought my vote would mean something. Like a small drop of a torrential clean rain to sweep away the muck of Ahmadinejad. I was full of hope that there would be a change of destiny for guys and girls like me in iran. i was so certain that my vote would give that little nudge for Mousavi to come out on top and win this election. I had so much faith in the system. So much trust in it. …. And i’m such an Idiot !!!!!!!!
Dreams are for Fools. And i was one big Fool !!! And i’m just PISSED !!!!!!!!!!1 i mean i knew that if it was a close race like 48& Ahmadinejad and 52% Mousavi the Conservative Clerics would fudge the numbers so that their Man would come out on top. i mean your not an Iranian unless you know this going in to any election. But i didn’t think the Regime would be so Vigorous and Authoritative in their deceit.
To say Ahmadinejad won by a landslide. to say he has Political Mandate as President is as phony as “President Muburaak” winning his “re-election”. The Election was rigged pure and simple. Whatever small measure of democracy that existed in Iran died when Khatami’s term expired. I feel burnt. i feel betrayed. i feel like i was taken for a ride. And now i’ve learnt my lesson. i’m never going to vote for this phucking Jum’hooriye Akhundee again!!!!!!
no disrespect intended for observant Muslims who support the government but i for one am tossing in the towel. i give up. i have no faith in this regime. and i think IF this continues in future elections then iran will face another revolution. the islamic republic iran will not be taken down by U.S. will not be taken down by Sunni Nations, or by Israel. or by Monarchists. Islamic Republic of Iran will be taken down by it’s own dishonesty and hypocrisy. And as such iranians who live WITHIN iran will take it down themselves. Perhaps there will be another revolution but on a much greater scale. a civil-war maybe. iranians killing iranians. to me that is gut wrenching. and it saddens me greatly.
But i feel that it doesn’t have to come to that. If the clerics would just let the small amount of democracy ,that exists in the framework of the constitution, to take it’s course. let the people vote for president. keep your Supreme Akhund Khamenei but let the people have their say in the Presidential Office. some kind of voice. even it’s whisper. but as i learned today the Clerics will not allow that either! ……such a pity
