Once again, living legend of Iranian traditional music Mohammmadreza Shajarian objected on Tuesday to the airing of his works on Iranian state TV and radio. His objection was made by means of a letter sent to Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Managing Director Ezzatollah Zarghami. A number of Shajarian’s epic songs were frequently being aired on TV and radio during the programs promoting the presidential election before voting on Friday. Since then, IRIB has made extensive use of his songs in the programs celebrating Mahmoud Ahamadinejand’s win in the presidential election
