Somehow, with all the horror we’ve been seeing on the streets, the particularly painful loss of Neda, the wheelings and dealings of the real power brokers within the theocracy, Obama’s public statements, the effect of this explosion in Iran internationally , and the many analyses of the big picture,by commentators in the press, Mir Hossein Moussavi seems to have receded a bit into the background of our awareness here (at least in english, which is what i read).
But in reality there have been several important developants with Moussavi in the last couple of days, so I thought I should apprise you of them.
According to Makmalbaf in Paris, Moussavi is now under 24 hour guard. so that it is very difficult for him to speak freely.’he has security agents, secret police with him all the time. He has to be careful what he says,’ Mahmalbaf told a reporter.The article from the Independent, UK is here:
Yesterday, BBC Persian reports, the offices of Moussavi’s website Salaam were raided and his staff arrested, and,according to NiIAC, the groundwork for his arrest was laid out on Thusrday in Kayhan:which is closely affiliated eith Khamenei, either to intimidate him or to follow through. I can’t read the Persian so I don’t know what the specifics of this ‘groundwork’ are, but I can well imagine. You can read about it here:

Fortunately, as of now, his Facebook page is still open.
.
And somehow, in the midst of all this, NIAC reports that, according to Tahlile Rooz,Larjani is trying to get air time for Moussavi on tv, based on partisanship and censorship, but given the above information, I think it would be highly unlikely for him to succeed, don’t you?
The last three developments all appear on the NiIAC blog;

I wonder what Hashemi’s doing right this very moment, don’t you?’
Wheeling and dealing. And not always holding the cards..

There was a blogger here before under a name for the Moussavi campaign who posted regularly. in Persian. I don’t remember seeing him lately. Did I miss somthing? Or is that blogger posting now in Persian under a different account?
