July 14 (Bloomberg) — North Korean leader Kim Jong Il visited a newly constructed tile factory, the state-run Korean Central News Agency reported late yesterday.
Kim gave “field guidance” at the Taedonggang Tile Factory and looked around the plant, KCNA reported, without saying when the visit took place.
South Korea’s YTN cable television channel reported yesterday that Kim is suffering from pancreatic cancer and has less than five years to live.
Kim hasn’t recovered from a stroke last year and has given up Western medical treatment in favor of Asian remedies, the Washington Times reported.
