(A poem written by my nineteen year old son Julio.)
Water, so calming, so relieving
Shows nourishment and cradles you
But do not trust HER
She loves you
At the same time can harm you
So cautious is she
To take care of you
At the same time can take you away
Causing her to think twice
Driving HER mad
With love comes responsibility
Which causes you to withhold certain things
Never wanting to love as much
So that at a minutes hand
You won’t take them away for good
That you love them so much
You do not ever want them hurt
So keep them safe
Some go as far as to take them away for good
So that they will never see pain again
We frown on it!
I frown on it!
But it’s their way
So too is the water
Watch out with the water
She can keep you calm
Love you, even cradle you
But at the same time
If you do not watch yourself
She can drown you
In her ever lasting love for you
