Washington, 23 July (WashingtonTV)—The father of a young Iranian killed in the aftermath of the disputed 12 June presidential election has been arrested, the reformist news website, Norooz News, reported on Thursday.
Massoud Hashemzadeh, 27, was killed by a bullet to the heart during a 20 June protest in Tehran. He was buried in his birth village of Gilan in northern Iran, but his family was barred from holding any commemorative ceremonies.
According to the report, a group of plainclothes young men, believed to be members of the Basij militia, accompanied by a uniformed law enforcement officer, went to the home of Hashemzadeh today. >>>
