This was the most amazing political rally. A green scroll 2-kilometers long, made up of petitions from some 190 cities around the world rejecting Ahmadinejad as Iran’s president, was paraded by the Eiffel Tower on Saturday. It was a beautiful, unprecedented, historic display of defiance and solidarity. The program began with speeches at the Palais de Chaillot (photos 1-66) and then crowd crossed the bridge, passed under the Eiffel (photos 68-85), gathered by the Wall for Peace (photos 86-102), and finally paraded the scroll around the Champs de Mars (photos 103-200).
