As I stare, with total bemusement, at all events happening
This very land of ours, The Beloved Iran, where have thou gone
Through much audacity, with absolutely no shame in sight
This farcical ballet, called the Presidential Inaugural, indeed the theatre of the absurd
Come my friend, have these people no shame
To cheat and steal, yes my brother, have these people no shame
The audacity of killing the young, without any hesitation
Yes my compatriot, look in to my eyes, and tell me, don’t these people have any shame
No reverence for life, acting as savages, there for all to see
Tell me my sweet darling, where is respect, where is honor, I am waiting, don’t these people have any shame
Our beloved sisters, our mothers, and indeed our daughters
Where is the humanity meted out to them, I am waiting, tell me, don’t these people have any shame
With the fragrance of spring, gone but this heat of the summer
Our resolve, as before, to fight these brutes, yes my darling, tell me, don’t these people have any shame
The Iran that we grew up in, constantly reminded us, of the glories past
I remember, and you remember, yes my brother, the Iran of Kouroush and Dariush, tell me, don’t these people have any shame
Remember reading, in our very blood, the declaration of human rights, for any and all
Yes my darling, twenty five hundred years ago, not a mere two hundred, we all remember, don’t these people have any shame
Listen my sweet, the very blood of the innocent, shed in these events
Makes the collapse of this regime, ever more imminent, yes my darling, have these people no shame
As I end these words, knowing full well, in my very heart
All these efforts, each and everyone, bringing forth fruit, the collapse of this regime, don’t these people have any shame
My Brothers, My Sisters, All Our Beloved Iranians
Have no fear, move forward with valor, with your hearts totally open, embrace victory, don’t these people have any shame
If you believe in a God, and think he is indifferent to this
Let me tell you my darling, the very fires of hell, reserved for these corrupt bastards, believe me, don’t these people have any shame
As the saying goes, in the days of the old past
Our Iran, yours and mine, will survive, flourish, and regain its Glory, believe me, it will come to pass, don’t these people have any shame
