Washington, 16 October (WashingtonTV)—Israeli President Shimon Peres said in remarks published on Thursday that his country preferred sanctions over force in curbing Iran’s nuclear ambitions, insisting that Israel did “not want to see blood”.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Peres downplayed the chances of a unilateral Israeli strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities.
“My opinion is that the world has to let President [Barack] Obama to find a solution by way of sanctions and diplomacy,” he told the London-based newspaper.
