In 1936, Shoghi Effendi, the “Guardian” of the Baha’i” faith, in a letter to a Baha’i’ wrote:
A mechanism of world inter-communication will be devised, embracing the whole planet, freed from national hindrances and restrictions, and functioning with marvelous swiftness and perfect regularity.
Many people, Baha’i’s and non Baha’i’s alike think this is what we call the internet today; hind sight is 20/20. But could there be something thats even better than the internet we know and love and can’t do without? Its tough to say. A friend who is doing her post doctoral work at Oxford told me that a group of people similar to the one who “started” the internet are working on something even more amazing. She wouldn’t tell me what. But I am very excited to know that more amazing technology is in the pipeline.
