I wonder if these three little friends are still alive today…I wonder how many family members they have lost to war…I wonder if they are refugees or emigrants…that day they were shyly following me about trying to pluck up the courage, which eventually they did, to invite me to their homes for tea and shirini… it was 1976, the year before the ten years of bombing started by the USSR…the last summer of peace before 33 years of war
