Please join us on Saturday July 24th, 1PM-6PM, at Canessa Gallery (708 Montgomery Street @ Columbus San Francisco) to celebrate Mokhtar Paki’s new solo exhibit “Passion Play”. This would be the last weekend of his show. Passion Play features new paintings as well as works that have been in the making over the last ten years. In this show Mokhtar explores the mythology and imagery of this ancient Persian theatrical tradition while highlighting its vitality and ability to bridge the past and the present. Mokhtar’s paintings have been exhibited in Iran, Norway and the United States – most recently at the Intersection For The Arts in San Francisco, Oliver Gallery, and the Persian Center in Berkeley.
