The Pope has led an assembly of children in west London on day two of his four-day state visit to the UK.
Benedict XVI was given a series of gifts before he addressed an audience of around 4,000 pupils at St Mary’s University College in Twickenham.
Earlier he paid tribute to the “outstanding contribution” made by religious orders to UK education.
He will later make a speech at Westminster Hall and hold joint prayers with the Archbishop of Canterbury.
