Budapest is poor man’s Prague, as I call it. Its beauty and charm has yet to recover from Socialism or see much benefit from Capitalism, for that matter. Hungarians have much to offer and be proud of in terms of urban architecture, but there’s no money to repair or maintain hundreds of buildings that are over a hundred years old and in need of serious attention. Still, that aged look has its own charm.
