Iranian opposition leader Mehdi Karoubi says government can’t last

Iranian opposition leader, Mehdi Karroubi said the Islamic Republic government cannot last long in its current shape. Saham News reports that Mehdi Karroubi told the youth branch of the National Trust Party: “Militarism through thugs dressed as Basij forces and creating restrictions for people like me, Mr. Mousavi, Mrs. Rahanvard and the members of our families and other activists has turned against those who are trying to monopolize power.”

Mehdi Karroubi’s home was attacked for five nights in a row last night with mobs throwing stones and shooting at his building and even injuring one of his bodyguards. Since then the government has also restricted people from visiting the opposition leaders and threatened people who have approached their home or offices with arrest.
