The Baha’is under the Provision of the Covenant
formed its National Baha’i Council in India, with its centre at Mumbai.
The formation of the Council was approved by the International Baha’i Council
and the present Guardian of the Baha’i Faith Mr. Neal Chase.
The Baha’is of India have a long and vibrant
tradition of remaining firm in the Covenant, having remained loyal to the true
UHJ from the time of the presidency of ‘Abdu’l-Baha’s aghsan-son until today.
Now through the recognition of the living great-grandson of ‘Abdul’-Baha, the
Baha’is of India have continued to recognize the true UHJ with the Davidic King
as the sign to distinguish it from other sects of Bahais. It is quite
significant that India has a good number of Bupc Bahais which are only next
only to the number of Bupc Bahais in England, Russia, France and United States .
The Baha’i Faith is a divine and independent
revelation of God revealed through Baha’u’llah. The main mission of the Baha’i
Faith is the unity of the human race and to establish peace and justice in the
world. This can only be done through individual people investigating the truth
with their own mind to arrive at common understanding. There are many Baha’i
sects in the world today. One of the sects is those who have their headquarters
in Haifa, Israel, and who mistakenly believe that the throne-line of King
David, which functions as the hereditary sign to recognize the true Universal
House of Justice of Baha’u’llah, came to an end in 1957 after the death of the
first guardian Shoghi Effendi. The Baha’is who remained under the Provisions of
the Covenant are those free people that understood that there is still a living
Davidic King who is the executive branch, president head of the true Universal
House of Justice which exists in its initial stage in America as the second
International Baha’i Council. The Baha’is under the Provision of the Covenant
believe that Baha’u’llah was a descendant of King David. In Psalms 89 God
promises King David that his descendants would rule on his throne forever.
The Baha’is under the Provision of the Covenant
believe that this prophecy was fulfilled by the coming of Baha’u’llah and his
everlasting covenant that his descendants are to rule after him as the
presidents of the Universal House of Justice. This is the spiritual government
of the Kingdom of
God on earth. When all of
mankind recognizes this true spiritual government wars will end and peace will
be established. The president of this council today is the great great grandson
of Baha’u’llah, Neal Chase Ben Joseph Aghsan.
