Pasargadae (Persian: پاسارگاد), the first capital of the Achaemenid Empire, a city in ancient Persia and Tomb of Cyrus the Great, founder of the Persian Empire (559-530 BC). Today Pasargadae is an archaeological site and one of Iran’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
