President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hailed on Monday the election of Dilma Rousseff as Brazil’s first woman president, saying it would boost the “eye-catching progress” in ties between the two countries.
“The relation between Iran and Brazil in recent years has enjoyed eye-catching progress which I am certain will continue and consolidate under your leadership,” Ahmadinejad was quoted by state news agency IRNA as telling Rousseff.
