Dear brothers and sisters, as you may know fifa has decided on giving the world cup 2022 to Qatar……….opinions are allot as to why the games were given to qatar!
Personally speaking I don’t see why theyare hosting this wonderful event! Normally mass’s would migrate to the hostingcountry not only see the games but to travel around to absorb the culture andsite of the country. The last 2 world cup I attended were France 98 and Germany2006. It was wonderful to able to use our free time to visit other cities, wewould stop off and have picnic and sometimes we would sleep rough! None of thisis going to be possible as the summer heat would make it impossible to doanything outdoor in doha. The heat can reach as much as 45 celsius!!! Even ifthe weather was bearable what does Qatar have to offer people visiting? The wholecity (or country) can be seen in 20mins!
Everyone will have their own theory aboutthis! oil? gas? backhanders!!! The whole shebang but I have one major issuewith this and it hurts me when I think about it………..this damn world cup will promotethe wrong name of Persian Gulf……..i feel totally at lost with this and I havevery very bad feeling that this event will further concrete their case with theworld media.
Our country is doing nothing to promotePersian Gulf… >>>
