Egypt’s newly appointed Minister for Antiquities Dr Zahi Howass says the country’s ancient artefacts are safe, despite reports of looting.
Speaking on the Andrew Marr show he admitted that seventy objects had been damaged, but promised they would be swiftly repaired.
