The Very First President of the Islamic Republic, Abdolhassan Banisadre is asked about the risks and conditions of seeing Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi the son of the Iran’s Last Monarch Mohamed Reza Shah Pahlavi regain power.
After a lengthy and in my humble opinion rather complicated metaphoric explanation the former President concludes that Iranians did not eat Baghali ( referring to a form of beans used in Rice) for the past 32 years only to end up with the prospect of replacing the current Spiritual Leader Ali Khamenei with Reza Pahlavi ( referring to him without his inherited Royal title of Shahzadeh) or MKO leader Massoud Rajavi ( to whom the former president’s daughter was once married before divorcing her in favor of Maryam Rajavi the current Pre Selected President of the MKO – the People’s Mujahedin Khalgh).
Banisadr on Chances of Seeing Reza Pahlavi Restored:
It seems However that Mr. Banisadr has moved forward in his colorful and metaphorically rich vocabulary for not so long ago he had actually used a far more vulgar verbal illustration by saying that “Asking Iranians to Restore the Pahlavis is like asking them to Swallow their Own Vomit” … Strangely Echoing what another Well Fed Fellow Compatriot seemed to express about the Pahlavis:
Ebrahim Golestan: “The Shah’s Coronation Made Me Wanna Vomit” (BBC)
But that isn’t new is it ?
