Almost three years ago: an informed guide + a long drive… Badab Surt is situated near Semnan (Iran). The road that takes you there is a narrow, long one that winds around the misty mountains nearby. The combination of: a cool breeze; the overlapping border of the patchy green, fertile land with the clouds; smell of sulphur and stepwise little pools of mineral water with their orange appearance make a surreal picture that is hard to forget.
