Those of us who are living in North America, either by personal choice or some mystical force , are enjoying the last barbeque and long weekend of the year, also vainly known as “Labour Day.” I leave the analysis of the rise and fall of the labour movement in North America to those with better knowledge of, if not genuine dedication to, the cause……..
But I tell you this much: The American trade unions will stay as useless as ever until some American lakes start to dry up……… And if you really want to be part of this lake-dehydration process, call your local politician and demand the moving of American Labour Day to May 1st.
And learn from others’ mistakes…….If you drink, don’t drive………..
