I ran in to this picture while researching for a project. I don’t know much about it, except it was taken by Kaveh Kazemi in Evin prison 1986. Political prisoners, who recanted their view and now support the Islamic Republic, sing revolutionary songs.
What is unusual about this picture is the stage painting in the background.
Takhte Jamshid crumbling down by the hand of his own people, Iranian. Who could paint or even thought of such a image that early in the revolution and middle of a war with Arabs?
Well, Taliban blow up one of kind Buda now they are trying to glue it back together and as we have seen there not much of differents between them and Islamic Republic so, Khooroshe bekhab zira ke to zire aabi.
Every picture of Thakhte Jamshed I have ever seen, showing it as a place of history to be protected.
