Article 110, Sections 4 & 10 of the IRI constitution clearly states that not only the Ayatollah Khamanei is the Supreme Commander of Iran’s armed forces, but he can also dismiss Ahmadinejad at the Ayatollah’s whim at any time
So, if I was the Ayatollah, rather than firing/dismissing Ahmadinejad, thus causing confusion among the nation, I would arrange for Ahmadinejad to be assassinated (a la Razmara). That way, the Ayatollah can accuse Israel/America ‘s CIA/MOSAD being the killers of Ahmadinejad.
By doing that, the Ayatollah is going to win more time to finally get his Atom Bomb. Then, by launching his Atom Bomb toward Israel, he will make sure the 12th Imam will appear as the martyr Ahmadinejad had already predicted.
Would any of the 80 million Iranians ever read the book “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins. Or better still, would any Iranian dare to translate the book to Farsi, risking the Fatwah from the Ayatollah — a la Salman Rushdi.
Oh well, I feel sorry for those 80 million Iranians that never read Dawkins’ book, and are going to become part of a “mere parking lot” as the rest of the world will responds to Ahmadinejad’s 12th Imam delusion and the Ayatollah Khamanei’s vision/Valaayateh Ghabih /win strategy.
