Sat. Feb 4, 2012, 1 PM New York City Rally
The year 2011 and beyond has coincided with the U.S. using economic, diplomatic, political and the threat of military force against Iran with the aim of destabilizing the country and bringing about G. W. Bush’s dream of “regime change”. Since the Iranian Revolution in 1979, the U.S. government has:
1. Armed Saddam Hussein of Iraq to wage a nine-year war against Iran;
2. Imposed sanctions against foreign investment in Iran’s oil & energy sector;
3. Blamed Iran for the resistance by the peoples of Iraq and Afghanistan;
4. Brought the Fifth Fleet into Iran’s territorial waters of the Persian Gulf;
5. Financed & armed terrorist groups to bomb Iranian mosques, and buses, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of civilians and security guards;
6. Assassinated five Iranian scientists by planting networks of agents in Iran;
7. Confiscated part of Iran’s sovereign funds deposited in U.S. banks.
The above is a partial list of the attacks and harm inflicted on the Iranian people. To say that sanctions are a form of war is not an exaggeration. We call on the American people to tell President Obama and the members of the U.S. Congress:
No War! No Sanctions! No Intervention! No Assassinations!
