The Unbearable Foulness of Hezbullahi Face

“After a certain age every man is responsible for his face.” — Albert Camus

Many have commented about how unusually ugly Ahmadinejad is. But far from being an exception, ugliness seems to be so prevalent among the Islamic Republic leaders that it makes one wonder if it is a requirement. Here is a collection of 8 Iranian leaders that were singled out in 2010 for specific U.S. sanctions against them. So I did not select these people for being more ugly than other IRI leaders. I could have easily picked 30 other high ranking IRI leaders who are just as ugly.

Iranian people are very rarely this ugly. You could walk all day in one of Iranian cities without seeing anyone matching their hideousness. Theirs is not the ordinary ugly. These people have a different type of ugly, a kind of bone deep foulness that is rare in the general public. I have only seen this kind of grotesqueness on the faces of certain murderers. There is a heaviness to their ugliness. Their faces are not just ugly, they are frightening. These are the faces shaped by years of murder and torture. The ugly thoughts and efforts have left their mark on their faces, especially the eyes. The light of humanity in their eyes has been replaced by the dead stare of predatory animals. They have ended up with faces that they deserve. It is ugliness of the soul that is truly required to make one a Hizbullahi.
