Manda Zand Ervin,
a founding member of both AILC and the Alliance for Iranian Women,
said: “I ran away from Islamists. I am grateful to be here. I am
disappointed that American feminists and elites have decided to support
Islamists and that academia has chosen to stay above the fray. Muslim
men in America are demanding shari’a law so that they can subjugate and
beat their wives here with impunity.”
