BRUSSELS—Iran will meet with six major powers for talks on its nuclear program on April 14 in Istanbul, a senior European Union diplomat said, the first such negotiations in almost 15 months aimed at finding a diplomatic solution to the nuclear impasse.
The talks come against the backdrop of increasing tensions over Iran’s nuclear program, which Washington and a number of EU countries say is aimed at developing nuclear weapons. Tehran denies that charge.
