I figured this event would be interesting since it highlights the fact that Persian kabob has crossed over into the American pop culture. Califire Grill in Fulerton, southern California, is probably the first true Iranian American fusion brand as a fast-food eatery where kabob koobideh is served with somagh-flavored fries and packaged in a very California way.
