On 11st September 2012 a new Dutch book about Khayyam will be presented in Amsterdam.
“The Great Umar Khayyam” is the title of the book which contains articles on various aspects of the 11st-century Persian poet’s life and work.
The event is organized by Spui25 Cultural Center in Amsterdam and Leiden University’s Persian Studies Department. The scholars Asghar Seyed-Gohrab, Jos Biegstraaten, Marco Goud, Michiel Leezenberg and Rokus de Groot will deliver the lectures in Dutch.
