Iranian Team Wins World Wrestling Clubs Cup Title For Third Time

Bimeh Razi freestyle team from Iran claimed the title of the World Wrestling Clubs Cup on Friday.

The Iranian team won the title for the third time in the two-day competition held in in the northern Iranian city of Babol, northern Iran.

Bomeh Razi had already finished in top place in 2014 and 2015.

Bimeh Razi defeated the Turkey’s representative 10-0 to win the title. Both sides went into the finals undefeated finishing the day with 3-0 records to qualify for the final.

Earlier in the day, Pas Setaregan Sari defeated a Georgian team 9-1 to finish in third place.

Ukraine came fourth after defeating Kyrgyzstan 7-3 and India beat Hungary 7-3 in the seventh place.

World Wrestling Clubs Cup is an international wrestling club competition among teams representing member nations of the United World Wrestling (UWW) the sport’s global governing body.

In their second-round matchup, Team Babol downed Team Hungary, 10-0.
