Israeli cabinet allocates $135m to judaize Jerusalem

Ramallah: The Israeli cabinet on Sunday allocated $135 million to
judaize occupied Jerusalem, the city referred to by Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu as the ‘heart of the nation.’

The cabinet reiterated the government’s support for a united
Jerusalem, calling the unification one of the foundations of the nation
of Israel.

Netanyahu told his cabinet that Israel had won the US congressional
support during his latest visit to the US, where he announced the
unification of Jerusalem.

The Israeli media quoted Netanyahu as saying during the meeting that
the world knows Israel and its friends are loyal to Jerusalem and its
legacy.

“The government is obligated
to building Jerusalem which is the heart of the nation of Israel,” he
said. Netanyahu said that his government will earmark special funds to
Jerusalem as part of the Marom Development Plan.

A senior official at the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) told
Gulf News that Netanyahu’s statements to the Knesset, the US Congress
and his most resent comments to his cabinet kill all peace efforts and
opportunities.

“Jerusalem is the heart of the Palestinian nation, the Arabs and the
Muslims worldwide, and all Netanyahu’s statements violate the two-state
solution based on the 1967 borderlines,” he said.
