A Hamas bombing victim’s family can’t seize Iran’s former embassy and other Washington properties to satisfy a $12 million default judgment, an appeals court ruled.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia today rejected arguments by Marla Ann Bennett’s family that the properties were no longer used for diplomatic purposes, so they are no longer immune from attachment.
