Press TV – An Iranian Culture Ministry official says Abbas Kiarostami’s latest production Certified Copy cannot be screened in Iranian cinemas.
“The film cannot be screened in Iran because no production and screening license has been issued for it,” Jamal Shourjeh, a member of the Supervision and Evaluation Office of Iran’s Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry’s Cinematic Department, told IRNA.
“Kiarostami’s new film is a personal product and does not have a screening license,” he said, adding, “Private screening of such products and releasing them on DVD is also illegal.”
